On Wednesday, NBC’s X account posted a photo of Michaels, 79, and Costas, 72, alongside celebrity Snoop Dogg, who’s the network’s Olympics ambassador.
The trio were spotted at the beach volleyball venue near the Eiffel Tower.
The snap, however, gave away their surprise to fans of the two being part of this year’s Olympics events.
On the same day, Front Office Sports reported that NBC has plans for Costas and Michaels to make a surprise on-air appearance during its coverage of the legendary international multi-sport event in Paris.
The move comes after both Michaels and Costas split from NBC in recent years.
The duo has a stellar history when it comes to Olympic TV coverage.
Costas was the prime-time host of a record 12 Olympics games from 1988 to 2016.
Michaels delivered the famed line, “Do you believe in miracles?” at the 1980 Winter Olympics at Lake Placid when Team USA beat the Soviet Union.
Costas left NBC in 2019 after being the network’s star for 40 years.
He has since called MLB games for MLB Network and TBS and has also made appearances on shows as a political pundit.
As for Michaels, he was NBC’s Sunday Night Football announcer from 2006 to 2022.
He gave up his role to Mike Tirico in the latter year.
Michaels joined Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football the following year.
It appears that NBC has settled their differences with Michaels and Costas.

Michaels has already given permission to NBC to use an artificial intelliegence version of his voice to narrate Olympics highlights on their streaming platform Peacock.
It’s expected that Costas and Michaels will be alongside Tirico, who replaced the two icons at NBC, during a segment.
